Announcements
On December 18, 2024, Project and Visio will be removed from UFApps offerings.
Students can obtain free individual licensing for Visio Professional and Project Professional through Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. For more details, visit Microsoft's page on Azure for Students. Instructions to register into the program and obtain the software can be found on the Instructions to Register Azure Dev Tools for Teaching page.
For more context: Microsoft Project Pro and Visio Pro were provided in UFApps under the Microsoft Imagine Premium subscription for STEM programs. In the February 2019 timeframe, Imagine Premium was transitioned to Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. Azure Dev Tools for Teaching make software available to EDU customers to download and install with an associated activation key. Microsoft licensing for Project and Visio is per user and not compliant with being used as a virtualized application which would enable concurrent use by multiple users. Due to this compliance concern, we will no longer provide Project and Visio through UFApps. Let us know if you have any other questions by submitting a ticket.
Esri, the vendor for ArcGIS Pro is implementing a change which will require users to sign in with their GatorLink account when launching ArcGIS Pro from UFApps. This change will take effect this Friday, November 22nd. Please note that the exact time of this update has not been specified by the vendor.

About UFApps
UFApps leverages a number of cutting edge technologies to provide UF students and faculty access to Windows based software applications from any computing device–laptops, tablets, desktops, and smartphones–from any location, at any time.
UF Information Technology staff monitor usage to gauge the usefulness of UFApps and each application offered to the UF student and faculty community. This data, as well as user feedback, will help determine how we can expand or improve UFApps.
Please use the help request form to share your comments with us!
UFApps began as a one-year pilot project provided by UFIT and funded by students through a student technology fee project. Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback, UFApps became a full production UFIT service for students and faculty.
UFApps covers a suite of services that provide access to the applications and resources you need. You can view all our available options as shown on Research Computing's Faculty Application Options page.
