Mediasite Capture

Mediasite Capture is a browser-based recording tool that lets you record your computer screen, webcam, and microphone directly without downloading extra software.

  • The use of this software requires a MyMediasite account. If you don't have one, request one.

Getting Started

  • Navigate to MyMediasite
  • Click Add Presentation and under Record Video select In-Browser
  • Enter a Title, optional Description, and choose a Destination within MyMediasite and click Create and Launch

Choose Recording Option and Settings

  • When Mediasite Capture launches in adjacent browser tab, choose the recording option Display, Display & Camera, or Camera.
  • If you choose Display or Display & Camera, your browser will then ask you to pick a screen or software to record. Click Allow
  • The browser will also ask to use a Webcam if you choose Camera. Click Allow.
  • Click Microphone to include audio in the recording. When the system notification appears, click Allow.

Record Presentation and Upload

  • To start recording, click the red Record button at the bottom of the page. You can pause the recording as needed. Click the Stop button to end the recording.
  • Once you have finished recording, click Upload to Mediasite. Once the presentation is uploaded to MyMediasite, you can manage, update, enhance and share it the same you would any recording.

Mediasite Mosaic

UF is in the process of phasing out Mediasite Mosaic and replacing it with Capture. In case you are still using Mosaic, some guides will be retained below.
