MIGRATING FROM SKYPE TO TEAMS:

On May 9, UFIT will sunset the Skype for Business service. To help campus with the migration, we created End-User and IT Staff preparation docs.

The PDFs include details and screen captures on what to expect after accounts are migrated. For a comparison of Teams and Skype's features, please refer to Microsoft’s Teams from Skype for Business page.

What is Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams provides a real-time “workspace” for collaboration and communication. With Microsoft Teams you can have online meetings, chat, share files and applications, and store docs all without having to go through a complicated set-up process. Microsoft Teams allows you to keep everything related to a service, project, event, or initiative in one place, with easy availability for anyone who needs access.

Microsoft Teams Access

Instructions on how to download Microsoft Teams are available in the links below. UF departments and units may want to check with their IT support team before downloading:
Web Interface
Desktop Application
The Microsoft Teams mobile app is available in the Google Play and Apple stores.
