Train the Trainer

Participants will explore a range of foundational learning theories and examine how adult learning differs from other learner populations, highlighting the unique opportunities and challenges presented by adult learners. Emphasis will be placed on principles of adult learning, including motivation, prior experience, self-direction, and relevance to real-world contexts. The ADDIE instructional design model will be introduced and applied as a practical framework for planning, designing, and delivering effective training programs. Through guided activities and examples, participants will learn how to analyze learner needs, align content with outcomes, and structure instruction for maximum impact.

By the end of the session, participants will leave with concrete strategies for writing clear, measurable learning objectives and a toolkit of instructional techniques to actively engage learners, promote retention, and support meaningful learning experiences.
