AI for Accessibility

This interactive training introduces practical ways to use artificial intelligence (AI) to support digital accessibility and prepare for upcoming ADA Title II and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.

Participants will explore how AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and UF NaviGatorChat, built-in AI in applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Office, or Siteimprove can assist with common accessibility tasks, including captioning, transcripts, alt text, color contrast, and content review. Through real-world examples and quick hands-on activities, participants will learn how to write effective prompts, critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, and apply human judgment to ensure accessible, compliant digital content.
