Social Engineering

Though we may think of them as hackers, social engineers do not fit the typical notion of a “hacker”. Instead of exploiting vulnerabilities in computers, social engineers take advantage of human nature to achieve an end.

Users are occasionally blocked from accessing the UF wireless network because of suspicious network activity (indicating a compromised computer that could potentially harm other UF or Internet resources) or as a result of complaints of copyright violations.
