What is a YubiKey 5?

The YubiKey 5 Series is a small hardware security key that provides strong, phishing-resistant two-factor or passwordless authentication. Developed by Yubico, it works by requiring you to physically touch the key when signing in to supported services, ensuring that only you can complete the login. 

YubiKeys support multiple authentication standards, including FIDO2/WebAuthn, FIDO U2F, Smart Card (PIV) and One-Time Password (OTP), and are compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and most mobile devices.
