Request HiPerGator Account
If you are trying to request a HiPerGator-RV account (formerly ResVault), please use our HiPerGator-RV Account Request page
| Users with a University of Florida GatorLink account may request an account directly. | Old UF Account Request |
| New UF Account Request | |
| Users at institutions that participate in InCommon Federation may request an account utilizing the Federated Account request system. You can verify that your institution provides federated authentication using the InCommon Community Organization's page and looking for the "Federation" tag. Click here for more information about Federated Accounts. | Federated Account Request |
| Non-UF research collaborators who are sponsored by UF Faculty may request an account utilizing the External HiPerGator request system. Once a GatorLink is created, these users can request a HiPerGator account using the UF Account Request form above. | Non-UF Account Request |
For your request to be approved, it must indicate a faculty sponsor with a Research Computing investment. If your faculty sponsor does not have an investment, they can obtain one by using our price sheets to decide what resources to invest in, then submitting a purchase request.
When an account request is received, UFIT Research Computing staff will contact your sponsor to approve your access to the sponsor’s investment; the account will not be created until verification is received. Upon sponsor verification, your account will be created and you will receive an email with the information you need to access UFIT Research Computing facilities. The process generally takes 2-3 business days, but cannot start until confirmation from your sponsor is received.
Sponsors requesting accounts will have their accounts created automatically once faculty membership is verified.
Request Federated HiPerGator Account
For users outside of the University of Florida, UFIT Research Computing has established federated authentication so that users can access HiPerGator using their institutional credentials. Federated login is available for most InCommon member institutions. You can verify that your institution provides federated authentication using the InCommon Community Organizations page and looking for the "Federation" tag. You can also look up contacts for your institution on the list of External University Contacts.(section under review, link once built)
