ABOUT IT-COMMUNICATIONS

UFIT Communications (IT-Comm), a unit of the Customer Experience and Resource Planning Department, supports UF’s mission by generating awareness of IT services, products, and support, and by delivering IT information in language, tone, and format that achieves the greatest understanding for all stakeholders. 

IT-Comm is an internal-facing support unit, providing all facets of communications and outreach expertise to the eight departments comprising the UF Information Technology division. Primary responsibilities include public relations and outreach, executive communications support (speeches, emails, publications, web content, and presentations), digital content development, crisis communications support, information security/risk management communications and outreach, AI and supercomputer updates, events management, web and social media management, and placement of news items that inform University of Florida constituents. The IT-Comm unit is also tasked with the division’s submission of 200+ stories, videos, and UFIT News blog posts annually.
