NaviGator Tutor

NaviGator AI Tutor is your personalized learning companion at UF, designed to help you test and deepen your understanding across any subject. It offers two intuitive modes. 

Check Your Knowledge and Skills, where you answer targeted questions and receive instant feedback, and Grow Your Knowledge and Skills, where you engage in an adaptive, level-adjustable communication with the AI.  

The Discuss Your Knowledge and Skills tool allow users to engage in both written and verbal communication in the platform by using the microphone on their device. 

When you click on the Check My Knowledge, Grow My Knowledge Skills, Discuss My Knowledge tool, the AI tutor will ask you questions about a specific topic you would like to learn more about. 

There, you have the option to check your knowledge about a specific topic by entering the topic you would like to explore, and entering detailed information about the subject of interest. For example, don’t just enter geography, but rather enter geography of California for more concentrated questioning. 

Additionally, you may also choose the option to check the OpenStax textbooks and select one to give NaviGator AI Tutor more information about the topic you are interested in.

If you desire to check my knowledge of course materials, such as your notes taken in a course, you can attach a document or paste the text into the textbox. 

Be sure to select to utilize the dropdowns to select the appropriate level of topic difficulty based on your knowledge of the material, the language in which your desire to receive your response, and your learning level.

NaviGator AI Tutor features a voice-enabled chat interface, letting you ask questions aloud and receive spoken or written responses in real time, so you can engage in a natural, conversational dialogue just as you would with a live tutor.

Similar to the Check my Knowledge and Grow my Knowledge skills tools, users should provide detailed information about the content they wish to receive questions about. 

The Discuss My Knowledge feature lets you choose from multiple tutor voices, so you can hear responses in the style you prefer.
