Off-domain PC’s will not be view-able in the console. They will receive the default agent settings, will automatically download definition updates, and their infections will show in the OfficeScan dashboard, and alerts will be sent via email on infections that cannot be quarantined or cleaned.
This is because UF's OSCE server is setup to organize agents by OU. Unfortunately, an OSCE server cannot be configured to sort agents according to OU and allow for manual sorting of off domain machines. A server config has to be one or the other. As the majority of Windows machines at UF are on domain, the OU sorting configuration was used.
Macs are managed by a separate server (TMSM) and are not sorted by OU. Units cannot view the TMSM console but they can see their Mac agents in the TMCM console. NOTE: A ticket must be submitted to manually move newly added Mac agents to the proper agent group before units will see them in TMCM.
