The purpose of this project is to merge the University of Florida's VoIP services into a single service provider. The goals for the project include:
- Reduce costs for UFIT customers.
- Increase overall customer satisfaction by providing a consistent feature set to all UF customers.
- Optimize service delivery by reducing the number of systems used on campus.
At the conclusion of this project, UFIT will utilize Cisco Unified Communications Manager to provide VoIP services to more than 16,000 telephony devices.
